a bad day...

On this page i just wanted to tell you about how my day went on april 9,2004(the day 3 friends died). kelly grady was on my softball team..including her sister shannon grady.well..we had practice one afternoon and i saw shannon walk up alone. i asked her where kelly was and she said that she was with mary and meghan in waycross,but she would still come to practice. well..time passed by and she never came..and mr.jim(her dad) was worried and was saying things like she should have been here..maybe something is wrong. our coach said that everything would be fine.practice was over and kelly did not go..but little did we all know that she wouldnt have been able to go. that night after practice i walked into our living room at my house and my step dad wayne told us that 3 girls and an old man had been hit by a semi.i got scared and asked him who the girls were and he asked me if i knew any girls with the last name of gaskins. i sed yea..mary and meghan.wayne said that they were in the 7th grade and 9th grade and a friend was also in the 9th grade. well..that night i prayed to GOD and asked him to help me through all of this..because i knew that it was mary,meghan,and kelly.the next day the paper came and it said that kelly,mary,meghan,and "poppie"had been killed by a car accident due to a semi. i cried and cried and never stopped and i kept on praying because GOD is the ONE PERSON who makes it the easiest to help you get through a time like that. the monday after the wreck...at school everybody was silent and were crying.i ended up crying before we went to our first block!! it was a terrible tragedy!! kelly grady was our softball teams first baseman and i remember all those times from practice! she was THE BOMB! she rocked! on her 15th birthday..we had practice and she decided that she was gonna wear pajama pants and a cowboy hat..well..she did..to practice!! i still remember that day!!! our first softball came and we didnt have kelly to play. it was really tough..but we made it through!! im pretty sure that our team won because we all dedicated that game to kelly. after the game...me and my friend lori beth a.k.a "lobe" were sittin on the bench and lobe was listening to her cd player. she started to sing and i asked her what she was singing and she said that she was singing kelly's all time favorite song"burn" by usher. on the cd,"burn" was track #9.i noticed that kelly's softball jersey was also #9 and i told lori beth and she said..yea..and you know what..she died on the 9th!!! so obviously..somehow we knew that kelly had to of been there to help us through our game.i know it sounds dorky but we acctually did believe she was there with us that night. for viewing of kelly...i couldnt tell you how many people were there!! we all showed how much we really cared and missed kelly! PIERCE COUNTY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!!! WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND MISS OUR ANGEL..KELLY JUDITH GRADY!! i tell myself over and over again that we dont need to be sad because she is in heaven learning how to really spread her wings and fly!! we may not be able to see or talk to her..but we can always keep her in our thoughts and keep her in our hearts!! we will see her again someday!!
